Goeie Hoop is a project under Kimon (Kinderhulp Mondiaal) in the Netherlands. The project is situated in Gordon'sbay, Cape Town, South Africa.

Here is their mission statement to know what the project is about:

The building of a Home Car Centre In Gordon’s Bay, Western Cape, for children between ages 1 day and 10 years old, who are diseased, abandoned, abused, neglected, orphaned or homeless.

In this house the vision is:

· To offer children a family environment where they are cared for emotionally, physical, medically and spiritually.

· To offer children a temporary home while other arrangements are being made for their being well.

· To provide home-based care for children placed back into communities.

· To multiply the ‘Crises Home Care Centre’ concept in Africa.

For more information see their website: www.goeiehoop.nl

Carl and Ilne are working as volunteers in the project, looking after the children, doing odd jobs like fixing things, taking care of supplies and whatever else comes on our way.

In Matthew 25:40 God says "whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." We are here to serve the God who made each one of these children, no matter how long or short we are part of their lives.
